The ecology specialist inside your project team
Wedgetail regularly works as the ecology specialist inside other consultants' project teams, writing the biodiversity chapter of an EIS, REF or SEE rather than running the whole assessment. If you're a planning consultancy or another environmental firm that needs biodiversity expertise for a client's project, that's a normal engagement for us, not a special case.

Both. Some clients engage us for the full sequence, preliminary assessment through to post-approval management. Others need one specific report, or just the ecology chapter inside a larger document another consultancy is running. Either way, tell us where you're at and we'll scope to that.

No. BDARs and BSSARs must be completed by an assessor accredited under the Biodiversity Assessment Method, because they calculate offset credits. Several other services, including flora and fauna assessments and Vegetation Management Plans, don't always require that accreditation, it depends on what the specific project and consent authority need.
